You can tailor your search by space type, price and amenities such as EV charging. Parking agreements are flexible so you can pick short or long term arrangements that best suit your needs. Once you’ve found a space that meets your needs, submit a booking request. Our Hosts will typically respond within the first 24 hours. Once confirmed, you can arrange handover of the access device and start parking!

There’s not many monthly parking options for Newtown commuters. The Inner West City council does offer parking permits to residents and local businesses, but you do need to meet their requirements and the space isn’t reserved for you. There is one council operated car park in Newtown, Lennox Street Car Park, but it’s only suitable for short-term stays. Secure Parking does have two parking lots in the area, Newtown Central and Dendy Newtown, but neither appear to offer long term parking options. For traditional monthly parking options, you could try the neighbouring suburb of Camperdown with prices starting at $300/month.

Parking costs in Newtown

For daily parking in Newtown, you should expect to pay between $10 and $16/day. Most on-street parking in the area is metered, with stays limited to 1-2 hours and if you’re lucky, 4 hours in the evening. Be careful not to park in residential permit only areas as you’ll risk a fine. The Lennox St Car Park, run by the Inner West City Council, allows you to park for 2 hours with a paid ticket from 8am to 10pm 7 days a week. It costs $2.40 per hour so it’s an ideal option for short-term stays. Unfortunately, you can’t pre book online so it’s a bit of luck as to whether there'll be a space available.

For traditional operators, maximum fees are around $15 - $16/day but if you want to park your car overnight, be prepared to pay over $60.
