From its humble beginnings of 20 patients and 141 patients at the end of 1906, Mater expanded into Mater Hospital Brisbane (1911), Mater Children’s Hospital (1931), the Neurological Department (1954), Mater Private Hospital (2000), and Mater Private Hospital Springfield (2015). Visiting hours are from 11 am to 1 pm, and 3 pm to 8 pm, seven days a week.
